Senior Citizen Discounts

I guess I am lucky. No one offers me the dreaded Senior Citizen Discount yet. Not that I mind saving money, hell, I am all about saving a few bucks, but if someone asks it means you look it. Kind of like being carded. The hubby, though, is another story. We went out for a bite the other night (fast food, not the healthiest, but it was a turkey burger so not totally evil). When the girl gave us the number to put on the table my hubby started joking about it being 65. Then the girl gave him a discount. When he asked her “Do I look that old?” she nodded. She looked all of 17. Poor man. We’ve been teasing him about it every since. A friend asked if she could take him shopping with her for discounts.

A look at the life others have in other parts of the world make me take a good look at the life I lead. I had the good fortune to meet a friend’s mom a couple of weeks ago. The woman is with the Peace Corps in Belize. The little things we take for granted, salads and matching clothes, are unheard of in the village she lives. You can read her heartfelt blog here Wan b' i from Belize!!! . Wonderful.

Voting is still going on for this week’s Etsy Picks.

Don’t forget the big Vogue Pattern sale this weekend in my Etsy shops. All Vogue patterns are 50% off. Use the coupon code Vogue50 in the Artfire shop. Discount will be refunded from the Etsy shop. Here’s a super cute pattern on Etsy:

Vogue 8149 in sizes 12-14-16 or 18-20-22

A lot of the Vogue patterns are out of print so if you love it, get it or you might not see it again.

Well, that’s all for now. Got some creating to do before going back to work.

  1. Saw your post on Etsy Blog Team, I'm now a new follower of your blog, hope you can drop by and take a look at my blog.

Poor guy ! No one likes to be considered a Senior Citizen ... especially if they've not reached that milestone yet. But to a teeny-bopper anyone over 25 seems old.

The Vogue pattern is really cute, wish I had time to sew but gave that up when I started my etsy shop and blogging and facebook and....
